一个发生在70年代的真实事件,一个18岁不了解自己性取向的大学新生发现自我的历程,一段同性真爱被传统旧势力扼杀的悲剧! 　　18岁的大一生懵懂少年peter满怀兴奋进入大学宿舍.首先遇到了一个同宿舍楼的旧生billy,billy知道他即将要和另外一个旧生joe同宿舍,就暗示peter小心,可是什么都不懂的peter当然不能领会这其中的意思,于是他日后也遭遇到当年billy刚入学时候经历的痛苦. 　　peter接着遇到了同宿舍的joe和他的女朋友bess.joe是个十足的大混蛋,利用自己的女朋友bess引诱新入学的男生来进行三人性爱,满足自己隐藏着的对男人的性欲.一方面,他看到peter和billy交谈感到吃醋,哭着要求peter不要与billy做朋友;另一方面,他看到bess日渐对peter产生感情,又觉得peter夺走了bess,对peter大打出手,peter迫不得已逃离宿舍.原来billy当年也是这样被joe引诱和抛弃. 　　peter逃出宿舍昏倒在路边,被年轻并对自己同志取向很清晰的大学讲师ian救回自己在"伊甸园(eden)"小村庄里的家.在这里,peter读了ian与过去同性情人的情信后对同志爱情有进一步的认识,并在这里度过了一段快乐的时光,不过这个时候peter还不知道ian其实早就爱上了自己.不过由于害怕被别人说成自己是同性恋,peter在bess的说服下重新回到宿舍,再次回到荒唐的三人性爱的日子.可是peter过得很不开心,并再次离开joe和bess,来到ian的身边,这一次,两人陷入爱河. 　　可惜好景不长,joe妒忌心加重,首先动用学生会力量来阻止peter和ian,学生会里只有billy在支持着peter和ian,因为billy也明确了自己的同志取向.这一招不成功,joe居然打电话到peter家里,peter在父母的压力下不得不离开学校回家,也离开了ian. 　　peter回到家后,不能忘记ian对自己的真爱,不能忘记ian阻止peter父母带peter回家时的真情流露,于是决定离开家回到ian身边.可是,当他自己开车想回ian在"伊甸园"的家时,却发现自己一个人怎么也找不到通往"伊甸园"的路，而和ian在一起的时候却驾轻就熟.等peter绕了几个大圈最终回到"伊甸园"的时候，ian已经绝望地投河自杀了!

Capturing pivotal moments in Toronto’s history, it presents an intimate portrait of the texture of gay live and politics at that time. Re:Orientations revisits seven of the original participants as they see anew the footage of their younger selves, and reflect on their lives and all that has changed over the intervening three decades. Their interviews are deepened and contextualized by conversations with six younger queer and trans activists, scholars and artists.
